Sustainable apartments with a variety of special energy- and climate-efficient features are being built in a gap in the 20th district of Vienna. The house is self-sufficient in electricity thanks to a photovoltaic system with buffer storage and is also independent of district heating or fossil fuels thanks to a groundwater pump. Sheep wool insulation and construction with CO2-reduced concrete are the future of sustainable building.
