Press Release:Expo Real Review 2023
by Marco Seltenreich
STRABAG Real Estate, STRABAG Property and Facility Services and ZÜBLIN jointly presented their range of real estate services at Expo Real.
"Progressive - sustainable - innovative" was the approach of the newly designed booth.
Expo Real, the International Trade Fair for Real Estate and Investments, was held for the 25th time. From October 4 to 6, STRABAG Real Estate (SRE), STRABAG Property and Facility Services (STRABAG PFS) and ZÜBLIN presented the range of services from project planning and development to construction, operation and revitalization. The STRABAG Group presented itself with a newly designed and almost CO2 neutral trade fair booth made of wood. "Progressive - sustainable - innovative" was the approach to this year's show, as well as to real estate projects and services. Moreover, in keeping with the "cradle to cradle" principle, everything can be reused.
The exhibition focused on innovative real estate services and projects, such as the DC Waterline neighborhood development and the Silo Plus office building in Vienna. The BVK headquarters in Munich or the Upper One in Warsaw also received awards. They exemplify the high level of consulting, data and execution expertise that the construction technology group offers its customers from a single source. The new eco2solutions service portfolio for sustainable and digital property and facility management also met with great interest.
Climate-neutral value chain by 2040
STRABAG has set itself the goal of climate neutrality along the value chain by 2040. The focus is on measures in four major fields of action: CO2 emissions, materials and waste, supply chain, and construction life cycle. In this context, technology as the driver of the required transformation is a necessary tool for leveraging the potential in all three pillars.
Awards underscore sustainability goals
STRABAG's clear goal is to systematically reduce CO2 emissions and resource consumption. The certifications by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and the Austrian Society for Sustainable Real Estate (ÖGNI) underscore the company's commitment to sustainability. At the award ceremony on Oct. 5 at Expo Real, several projects in the field of residential and commercial real estate from Germany and Austria as well as traffic route construction were honored.
